World’s best spinach smoothie
Sure it looks disgusting (to some), but it tastes amazing. Go ahead, try it.
Spinach
Strawberries
Banana
Orange Juice
Echinacea-Lemon-Ginger Juice
The amount of the fruit and spinach you use will be entirely based on your taste. Every now and then I will add blueberries and it gives it a much darker color. The amount of juice you use will be based on how you prefer the consistency. I prefer mine moderately thick so I use about 2-3 ounces of juice. The Echinacea blend that I use is unique to Trader Joe’s and it is a refreshing drink all by itself. Lastly, because I love everything with a kick to it, the red sprinkles you see on mine is Hot Cayenne Pepper (not for the faint of heart). I use my magic bullet to blend it all together and voila! – the best spinach smoothie.
You will definitely get some stares when you drink this outdoors, but don’t be vain, the stares are for the smoothie and not for you – enjoy!

Hmm…strawberries, banana, orange juice, spinach — one of these things is most definitely not like the others! All kidding aside, I love spinach but have only ever had it from within the salad bowl. I’m curious where you got the inspiration for your very first spinach smoothie. And was it love at first taste, or did it take you awhile to hit upon the perfect formula? I’m all for getting people to stare at me, so I think I might try rockin’ a spinach smoothie pretty soon. Thanks for the recipe!
Lol! If you’re all for getting people to stare at you, then jump all in! Truthfully, it was love at first taste. I typically like things a little different, so I wasn’t surprised that I liked it; the real experiment for me has been mixing in different fruits and realizing that I didn’t like it with blackberries or raspberries. I encourage you to try it many different ways and find your ‘taste-fit’ if you will. Enjoy
Whoa. I gotta be honest; that looks pretty gross…but I know that looks can be deceiving…sometimes. If you’re ever in the mood for a creamy, tropical treat (Treat, as in rare occasions) try this: 1 small frozen banana (cut bananas into slices then freeze in ziplock bag), 1/2 cup milk (I use unsweetened vanilla almond milk), 1/2 Lakewood %100 pure pineapple juice, 1/4 reduced fat coconut milk (Goya or Thai Kitchen), and 1 scoop of your favorite protein powder (optional for some, but a MUST for me). Play around with the ration of ingredients based on your personal tastes. So delicious!!
